Virginian-Pilot January 5 & 6, 1966
NORFOLK - Mrs. Sarah Jane Finn McPhillips, of 624 W. Princess Anne Road, the 
widow of Joseph McPhillips and a daughter of Terence and Mrs. Eliza Conroy Finn, 
died Tuesday at 7:45 p.m. in her home.
A native of Armagh Ireland, she lived here 47 years. She was a member of Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Womans Club.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. A. G. Baker, Mrs. T. J. Reilly, and Mrs. 
F. Charles Falls, of Norfolk, and Mrs. W. M. Caulfield, of Satellite Beach, Fla; 
two sons, Terence Joseph McPhillips and John Vincent McPhillips, of Norfolk; a 
brother, Terence Finn, of Melbourne, Australia; 27 grandchildren; and a great-
granddaughter.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.

McPHILLIPS, SARAH JANE FINN - At the residence, 624 West Princess Anne Road, 
Tuesday, January 4th, 1966, at 7:45 p.m., SARAH JANE FINN McPHILLIPS, widow of 
Joseph McPhillips, and daughter of the late Terence and Eliza Conroy Finn, in 
the 79th year of her age. Rosary services at the residence, Thursday at 7:30 
p.m. Funeral services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Friday at 10 a.m. Friends 
of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
