Mr. McRae, a native of Norfolk, was a member of the National Maritime Union for 40 years. He was the widower of Dorothy Mae McRae. Survivors include a daughter, Valerie M. Butler, and two sons, Keith Watson and George Watson, both of Norfolk; three sisters, Agnes Williams of Elizabeth City, and Thomasine Boone and Ruth Quick, both of New York; two brothers, Ethro McRae and David McRae, both of Norfolk; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Twilight Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, and will assemble at 1 p.m. Thursday at the residence for the procession.
