Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, March 1, 1993 
Josephine Means, of the 2300 block of Barraud Ave., a retired sorter, died Feb.
27, 1993, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Means was born in Williamston, N.C. She had retired from Sunlight Laundry
and was the widow of Willie Lee Means. She was a member of United Order of the
Tents, Wheaton chapter 73.

Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline M. Baker of Virginia Beach and
Alvonia Means of Norfolk; a son, Milton Means of Norfolk; a sister, Deloris
Poole of Maryland; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in New St. John A.M.E. Church by
the Rev. Emanuel Terrell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will
assemble at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
