The Virginian Pilot Saturday June 10, 1961
Mrs. Marie Wright Mears, 65, wife of Cecil F. Mears and daughter of Thomas 
Belson and Mrs. Lucy Vernelson Hill Wright, died Friday at 1 a.m. in a Norfolk 
hospital.
Mrs. Mears was a native of Norfolk and a lifelong resident of this section, 
lately at 218 S. Penguin Circle, Bird Neck Point, Virginia Beach.
She is survived only by her husband.
A funeral will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 3:30 p.m. by 
the Rev. Henry G. Morgan, D.D., pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Virginia 
Beach. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family requests that flowers be omitted.
