Meginley, and one of the best known women of the Southside, died last night at 10:20 o'clock in a local hospital after an illness of two months. Mrs. Meginley was a lifelong resident of Berkley and South Norfolk and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Laform. She was a charter member of the South Norfolk Baptist Church, a teacher in the Sunday School, active in many of the church organizations and was liberal in response to benevolent calls. Her husband, who was a former member of the Berkley Town Council, died about six years ago. Surviving her are three sons and two daughters. The sons are B.F., J.E. and William C. Meginley, Jr. and the daughters are Mrs. Ernest E. Towe and Mrs. Robert Harrell and thirteen grandchildren all of this section and fifteen great- grandchildren. The body was removed to the J.R. Williams Funeral Home, 1027 Chesapeake Avenue, South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
