Virginian-Pilot  April 24, 1939
Miss Ellen Margaret Mehegan, daughter of the late William A. and Mrs. Ellen Nunan 
Mehegan, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 2:10 o’clock. Miss 
Mehegan was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. She is survived by a 
sister, Miss Mary H. Mehegan and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be 
taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, to Holy 
Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, of which Miss Mehegan was a member, for 
services Tuesday morning at 9:30 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
