The Norfolk Virginian November 28, 1883
MEHEGAN – ALICE NUNAN MEHEGAN, daughter of William A. and Ellen M. Mehegan, at 8 
o’clock p.m., November 24th. Notice of funeral hereafter.

The funeral of the late Miss Alice Mehegan took place at 10 A.M. on yesterday 
from the residence of her parents, No. 14 Dartmouth street, and was largely 
attended by friends and acquaintances. At the conclusion of the services, which 
were conducted by the Rev. Father O’Keefe of St. Mary’s Church, the remains were 
conveyed to the Catholic Cemetery for interment, the following gentlemen acting 
as pallbearers: Messrs. J. N. Edwards, W. A. Young, R. F. Holmes, R. W. Webb, T. 
W. Walter, James Kerr, W. W. Skinner, William O’Rourke. The floral tributes were 
varied and beautiful and were borne from the house to the cemetery by Messrs. T. 
O. Wise, Jr., E. J. Goodman, C. G. Vaughan and William Newstead.
