Louis Meloni, age 59 years, husband of Mrs. Josephine Feroni Meloni, and son of 
the late Alexander, and Mrs. Frances DeBenedict Meloni, a native of Italy, and a 
resident of Norfolk for the past 24 years, died at 9:45 o’clock yesterday 
morning at the residence, 223 Ainsworth street. Mr. Meloni, barber by trade, was 
a member of Roma Lodge No. 254, Sons of Italy, and of the Holy Name Society of 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josephine Feroni 
Meloni, three sons, Alexander A., August and Theodore Meloni, all of Norfolk, 
six daughters, Mrs. Dennis Ciola, of Norfolk, Mrs. Edward Agostini and Mrs. 
Charles Bevilacqua, of New York, and the Misses Lena M., Filomena Ann and Della 
Josephine Meloni, of Norfolk; one brother, John Meloni, of Camden, N.J.; two 
sisters in Italy, and five grandchildren. Rosary services will be held at the 
residence, tonight at 8 o’clock. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
