Chesapeake - James Melton, 71, of 1906 Obendorfer road, who died Sept. 5, received 
final rites Sunday at Fitchett Funeral Home. He was buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

A native of Rich Square, NC, Mr. Melton is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Maude 
Burns of Chesapeake and Mrs. Evelyn Johnson of New York; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie 
Clark and Mrs. Cora Conwell of Rich Square; and a brother, William Melton.
