Norfolk - Esther Davis Mendel, 87, of the 200 block of Brooke Ave., died March 
9, 2002.
Mrs. Mendel is survived by her daughter, Nancy Mendel Peck of Norfolk; her son, 
Stan Mendel of Hollywood, FL; her brother, Morris Davis of Nashville, TN; 11 
grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, 
Harry Mendel, and by her daughter, Shirley Mendel Schultz formerly of Fort 
Lauderdale, FL.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at B'Nai Israel Cemetery, 
Cromwell Road, Norfolk. Shiva will be observed at the home of Nancy Peck, 215 
Brooks Ave., Norfolk.
H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts, Norfolk Chapel is handling arrangements.
