Norfolk Virginian Thursday November 22, 1894

Mrs. Mary Mercer died at her home in South Norfolk Tuesday night about 10 o'clock. 

The deceased was 43 years old and was a victim of that fatal disease consumption.  
Her funeral will take place this morning at 10:30 o'clock from the residence 
conducted by Rev. H.N. Quisenberry.  Interment will be made in Magnolia Cemetery 
by Undertaker Cox.
