Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 6, 1923

Mrs. Mary Frances Mercer, aged 49 years, died last night at her home, Ohio and 
Rogers streets, South Norfolk, at 11 o'clock. Mrs. Mercer was the daughter of 
the late W.S. and Mrs. Sarah Moyce Jones and the wife of the late Romulus 
Mercer.
She is survived by four daughters, Misses Martha, Fannie, Hazel and Sarah 
Mercer and one sister, Mrs. William Edwards, of Rosemont, Va.  She was a 
member of the Gospel Hall Church.  Funeral services will be held from the 
residence tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
