Mercer, 75, Dies of Bullet Wounds Henry Alvin Mercer, 75, died at the residence of his brother, William W. Mercer, of 405 Pleasure House Road, Chesapeake Beach, yesterday at 2:45 p.m. He died of two bullet wounds. Mercer was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as an electrician some 20 years ago. He was a native Virginian, son of Alfonso and Mrs. Virginian C. Wilson Mercer. His only close surviving relative is his brother, with whom he made his home. The body will be taken from the Cox Funeral Home to Elmwood Cemetery for funeral services Tuesday at 11 a.m., to be conducted by the Rev. John A. McKenry, pastor of Ghent Methodist Church.
