The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark March 27, 1930
Mrs. Fannie Lee Mercer, aged 74, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon 
at 5:30 o'clock after an illness of six months.  She was the widow of William 
Shephard Mercer and daughter, of the late Jesse and Letitia Old Lee.  She was 
born in Norfolk County, but had lived in Norfolk for the past 40 years.
The boy was removed to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Brother, 631 Westover 
avenue, from which it will be taken to Central Baptist Church for funeral 
services tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
