The Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 6,1936



Mrs. Clara Fannie Mercer, aged 78, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon 
at 12:20 o'clock after an illness of two years.  She was a native of Oxford, 
N.C., and had been a resident of Norfolk for 70 years.  She was the widow of 
William T. Mercer.  Mrs. Mercer was a member of First Methodist Church.
The body will be taken from the funeral home of E. Lee
Cox & Bro., 631 Westover avenue, to Elmwood Cemetery for services at the grave 
tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock.
