Norfolk - Miss Margaret E. Merchant of 2714 Pioneer Ave., organist and choir 
director of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, died Saturday in her home.

Miss Merchant was a native of Norfolk and a senior missionary at First Calvary 
Baptist Church.  

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Dorothy B. Rainey, and two brothers, Milton A. 
Merchant and Junius A. Merchant, Sr., all of Norfolk.

A funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. on First Calvary Baptist Church by 
Dr. Johnnie White.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home 
in charge.  The body will be in church Wednesday at 11 a.m.  The family will 
assemble at her home.
