Norfolk Journal and Guide,Saturday,Sep 24,1921
Mrs. Mary Merchant, a highly respected citizen died at her late residence on
Chapel Street, Wednesday, September 7th. Her funeral was held at St. John’s A.
M. E. Church on Sunday, Sept. 11th, Rev. M. E. Davis officiating. The remains
were laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
