The Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 25, 1937
William Luther Messick, aged 39, husband of Mrs. Anna Mae Cherry Messick and 
son of Mrs. Mary James and the late Edward L. Messick, died at a local hospital 
last night at 7:30 o'clock. Mr. Messick was a native of Princess Anne County 
and a well known resident of this section. He was a World War veteran and 
served in Company B, 112th Machine Gun Battalion. Besides his wife and mother 
he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Georgie Gregory, Mrs. E.E. Baublitz and 
Mrs. Eliza M. Gallup, all of this section, and Mrs. T.E. Choulas, of Richmond; 
two brothers, Edward J. and E.L. Messick, Jr., and a number of nieces and 
nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
