He is survived by a son, Phillip B. Messick; a brother, E.L. Messick and several nieces and nephews, all of Norfolk. Mr. Messick was a native of Norfolk and had spent most of his life here. He had been working in Newport News only a short time. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence of his niece, Mrs. E.M. Gallup, 817 Maltby avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock.
