Virginian Pilot April 11, 1909

MESSICK - At the residence of his brother, 213 North Maltby avenue, Thursday 
April 8, 1909, at 1:45 p.m., HERBERT L. MESSICK, aged 38 years.
The funeral will take place from the above residence THIS (Sunday) AFTERNOON 
at 2 o'clock.  Interment in Elmwood Cemetery.  Friends and acquaintances 
respectfully invited to attend.

The funeral of Herbert L. Messick was held from the residence of his 
brother, 213 Maltby avenue, at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon.  The service was 
conducted by Rev. W.G. Starr, D.D., of the Cumberland Street Methodist 
Church.  The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.  Following were the pall-
bearers:  Richard Llewellyn, J.W. Murphy, Edward Lynn, Walter Stafford, 
James E. Galvin and Mr. Burlass.
