The Norfolk Virginian Pilot April 22, 1936
Prescott R. Metcalf, son of Annie Davis Metcalf an the late C.R. Metcalf, a 
native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died yesterday morning at 11:30 
o'clock. Besides his mother, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. J.W. Apitz, of 
Washington, D.C. and two uncles, A.C. Metcalf, of Charlotte, N.C. and W.S. 
Metcalf, of Washington, D.C.
Services will be held at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-612 East 
Freemason street, tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock with the Rev. C.M. Gordon, 
D.D., pastor of the First Christian Church (Disciples), officiating. Interment 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
