The Virginian Pilot Saturday Oct. 13, 1956
Mrs. Ada Brown Miars, 93, widow of William Thomas Miars, died at the residence of 
her daughter, Mrs. H.P. Woodyard, at Mt. Vernon, Ala., Thursday at 11 a.m.
Besides her daughter, she is survived by a son, William T. Miars Sr. of 
Wilmington, N.C.; a granddaughter, Mrs. June W. Bakwell of Houston, Tex.; a 
grandson, William T. Miars Jr. of Wilmington; six great-grandchildren and a niece, 
Mrs. O.I. Fleming of Norfolk.
Mrs. Miars was a native of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Sunday at 2 
p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
