Mary Lou Mickins, 75, departed this life April 8, 2004, in Virginia Beach 
Healthcare. Born in Jacksonville, S.C., she was a longtime and faithful member 
of Shiloh Baptist Church. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene H. Mickins. Survivors include three 
daughters, Mary H. Walcott of New York, Dorothy M. Carrington of Chesapeake and 
Carolyn A. Mickins of Norfolk; four sons, Fredrick R. Mickins (Shelley) of 
Woodbridge, Va., James E. Mickins of Virginia Beach, Sylvester Mickins (Phyllis) 
and William L. Mickins, all of Norfolk; a sister, Sally Ann Timitt of South 
Carolina; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, 
nephews, cousins and friends. 

A funeral will be held Monday at noon in Shiloh Baptist Church. Interment will 
follow at Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 
Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
