Norfolk - Final rites were conducted for Adam Middleton of 1334 W. 41st street, 
Sunday, in Queen Street Baptist Church by the Rev. J. J. Freeman.  Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery by Hale Funeral Home.  Mr. Middleton died May 27 in his home 
after a long illness.

A native of Summerville, SC, he was a son of the late John Middleton and Mrs. 
Earline B. Middleton and the husband of Mrs. Margaret Middleton.

He was a member of Queen Street Church and was retired from Norfolk Naval Base.

Besides his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ophelia Mitchell of 
Jamaica NY;  a brother, James Middleton and a sister, Mrs. Thelma Mitchell, both 
of Summerville;  and a grandchild.
