Benjamin F. Middleton, Sr., who died in a Baltimore hospital Thursday morning from injuries received several days before in a fall aboard a vessel, will arrive here this morning and will be taken to the James V. Derry Funeral Home pending arrangements for burial. Captain Middleton, who recently celebrated his seventy-first birthday, resided at 1271 West Thirty-seventh street. Coming here 18 years ago from Chesapeake City, Md., Captain Middleton was employed for a number of years on vessels of the Southern Transportation Company plying between Norfolk and New York and New England ports. He was preparing to return to Norfolk aboard his vessel at the time of his accident. Besides his wife, the survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Florence Faulkner, of Baltimore; Mrs. Ora Marshall, of Detroit; Mrs. Herbert Seay, Mrs. H.A. Kraft and Margaret Middleton, of Norfolk and five sons, Capt. B.F. Middleton, Jr., Capt. E.S. and Jesse G. Middleton, of this city; Clifton Middleton, of Philadelphia and Ralph K. Middleton, United States Coast Guard, of Pascagoula, Miss. ******************************************************* MIDDLETON, CAPT. Funeral services from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road, corner Moran avenue, THIS (Sunday) AFTERNOON, January 10, at 2:30 o'clock.
