Norfolk Virginian December 29 1898
James L. Milby, one of Berkley's well known citizens died yesterday at his 
residence on Berkley Avenue, aged 47 years. Mr. Milby was a native of Isle of 
Wight County, Virginia, but had been residing in Berkley for nearly 20 years. He 
was a member of Royal Arcanum and Berkley Lodge No. 278, B.P.O.E. The funeral 
services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from his late 
residence on Berkley Avenue.
