Gordon Milhado, widow of Alexander Gordon Milhado, of this city and daughter of the late Erasmus Gill Hinton and Jane Griffin Stith of Petersburg died yesterday at 3:40 a.m. at the family residence on West Bute Street. Though an invalid for many years, the end came, nevertheless, unexpectedly and as a great shock to friends and relatives. With a strong personality and high intellectual attainments, Mrs. Milhado combined a grasp of affairs that was unerring and that made her an invaluable advisor. To her friends she was tireless, to her family she consecrated the best that was in her. She leaves two sons, Aaron Milhado and Alexander Gordon Milhado, and one daughter, Mrs. Stickney, wife of Rear Adm. H.O. Stickey, retired of this city. Funeral services will be held at the residence, tomorrow at 12 o’clock noon, the Rev. David W. Howard, D.D. rector of St. Luke’s Church officiating. Interment will be private in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
