Virginian-Pilot  October 13, 1949
Charles Millan, 65, husband of Mrs. Sadie Fadel Millan and son of the late Mr. 
and Mrs. Norman Millan, died at a Norfolk hospital last night at 8:20 o’clock.
He was a native of Lebanon, Syria, and a resident of Norfolk for 42 years, 
residing at 616 New York Avenue at the time of his death. He was an optometrist 
with offices at 933 Church Street.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Sadie Fadel Millan, he is survived by one son, Dr. Edward 
Millan; two daughters, Mrs. Arriett Barnard and Miss Gloria Millan, all of 
Norfolk; one grandchild and one brother, Beshara Millan, of Lebanon, Syria.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church, of which Mr. Millan was a member, for services Friday 
at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services wi1l be held 
at the funera1 apartments tonight at 8 o’clock.
