Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Monday January 8, 1934
Robert Lee Millar, aged 70, son of the late Walter M. and Susan Winn Millar, 
died yesterday morning at 11:15 o'clock. Mr. Millar was a native and 
lifelong resident of Norfolk. He is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Susie 
Woodward, Mrs. Anne M. Thurston, Mrs. Bertie Rogan, and the Misses Mattie 
and Grace Millar, all of Norfolk; two brothers, William H. Millar, of 
Russellville, Tenn. and Walter D. Millar, of Port Arthur, Tex., and several 
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held privately at the residence, 373 Hamilton 
avenue, tomorrow at noon, with the Rev. Thomas A. Smoot, D.D., pastor of 
Epworth Methodist Episcopal Church, and the Rev. Taylor Willis, rector of 
St. Luke's Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery. Friends are requested by the family to kindly omit flowers.
