He was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, husband of the late Mrs. May Vanderberry Millar and a son of the late Walter Maximillian and Mrs. Susan Winn Millar. He was a member of Epworth Methodist Church. Mr. Millar had been in the service of the U.S. Engineers, War Departmnet, for the past 15 years. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Susan M. Woodward, Mrs. Hugh G. Rogan, Miss Mattie Millar and Miss Grace Millar, all of Norfolk; a number of nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home, 631 Westover Avenue, corner Manteo Street, Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. The Rev. Thomas F. Carroll, D.D., pastor of Epworth Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
