Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday May 4, 1952
Mrs. Isa Parker Miller, 74, of English Avenue, Indian River Park, died 
yesterday at 11:30 a.m. at a Norfolk hospital.  She was a native of Gates 
County, N.C., and had lived in the Norfolk area for 64 years.
Mrs. Miller was the widow of Joseph Columbus Miller.  Surviving are six 
daughters, Mrs. Ernest D. DeShields, of Charlotte, N.C.; Mrs. Leon M. 
Cartwright, of Newport News; Mrs. Isedora M. Forehand, of South Norfolk, and 
Mrs. Ralph F. Stewart, Mrs. Gilbert F. Everton and Mrs. Walter R. Jones, all 
of Norfolk County; three sons, Uel N., Robert J., and Henry Pack Miller, all 
of Norfolk County; a sister, Mrs. Robert L. Wallace, of South Norfolk; two 
brothers, George W. Parker, of South Norfolk, and O.J. Parker, of Hickory; 
22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Graham Funeral 
Home, South Norfolk.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
