Virginian-Pilot, July 11, 1961
NORFOLK - Horace Miller, 65, grocer, husband of Mrs. Bessie Cohen Miller and 
son of Louis and Reva Stein Miller, died Monday at 4:15 a.m. in a Norfolk 
hospital.
A native of Lithuania, he lived here 55 years, lately at 1444 W 48th St. He was 
a member of B'Nai Israel Congregation and Atlantic Masonic Lodge No. 2.
Besides his widow he is survived by two sons, Claude R. Miller and Dr. Bernard 
H. Miller of Norfolk; three brothers, Charlie Miller and Abe Miller of 
Portsmouth and Dave Miller of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Arenov and Miss 
Bessie Miller of Portsmouth, and two grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts today at noon 
by Rabbi Israel Bornstein of B'Nai Israel Congregation with burial in B'Nai 
Israel Cemetery. The family will assemble at 1529 Holland Ave.
