Virginian Pilot November 9, 1956


Norfolk-Mrs. Lelia Miller, 84, widow of Cornelius Franklin Miller, died at 
the residence, 1034 W. 36th St., yesterday at 9:30 p.m. She is survived by 
three daughters, Mrs. Emmett E. Brock and Mrs. K. Clifton Backus, both of 
Norfolk, and Mrs. Emery D. Dillion, of Farmville; two sons, Clarence C. 
Miller of Carrolton and Theodore C. Miller of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. 
Mary C. Waller and Mrs. Florence C. Sanderlin, and a brother, J. Harry 
Cooper, all of Norfolk; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 
Mrs. Miller was a life-long resident of Norfolk, and a member of the Zion 
Methodist Church.
The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home pending funeral 
arrangements.
