Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark June 6, 1916

The funeral of Mrs. Verbena Goodson Miller, who died yesterday afternoon, will be 
held at 11 o'clock this morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. S.S. Thatch, 908 
Reservoir Avenue. Services will be conducted by Rev. E.P. Miner. Mrs. Miller is 
survived by her husband, J.J. Miller; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Goodson; four 
sons, Frank, Orion, Arthur and James; three daughters, Misses Hettie, Verbena and 
Gladys; two sisters, Mrs. S.S. Thatch and Mrs. J.L. Meads and three brothers, H.L. 
and A.J. Goodson and W.A. Sykes. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
