Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark June 27, 1932

Mrs. Maude Nuckols Miller, aged 40, wife of Max L. Miller, died at a local 
hospital last night at 9 o'clock after an illness of nine days. She was born 
in Elizabeth City County, and had lived in this section for the past 20 
years.  She was the daughter of the late A.B. and Mrs. Hester Todd Nuckols 
and in addition to her husband is survived by one son, Max L. Miller, Jr.; 
five daughters, Ethelyn, Judith, Hazel, Theda and Dorris Miller, of Indian 
River Park; four sisters, Mrs. Alex Owens, of Point Harbor, N.C., Mrs. 
George H. Saunders, of Huntington, W.Va., Mrs. A.A. White, of Norfolk, Mrs. 
J.D. Pelot of Manastique, Mich.; three brothers, W.H. Nuckols, of Norfolk, 
J.F. Nuckols, of Norfolk County and A.K Nuckols, of Princess Anne County,
She was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church.
The body was removed to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Brother, 631 
Westover Avenue, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 12 
o'clock noon.
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
