Lionel Newby Miller, 87, of West McGinness Circle, died Feb. 22, 1999, in Sentara 
Norfolk General Hospital.

Mr. Miller was the son of the late Laura M. Miller and William J. Miller of South 
Norfolk. He was a retired employee of 35 years at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, 
Portsmouth, and five years at Military Circle.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret M. Miller of Norfolk; and a step-sister, 
Margaret Holland of Suffolk.

A Christian Wake service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the Norfolk Chapel 
of H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 
at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Burial will be in 
St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
