Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, May 19, 1997 
Melvin ``Show Time'' Miller of the 700 block of Marcus St. died May 17, 1997, in
DePaul Hospital.

Mr. Miller was born June 15, 1947, and was a self-employed entrepreneur. He was
a member of First Baptist Church, South Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Miller; two daughters, Melvilyn Sutton of
Chesapeake and Desiree Miller of Virginia Beach; a son, Oci Hendricks of
Chesapeake; stepsons, Anthony Powell of Norfolk and Desi Powell of Virginia
Beach; his mother, Mary Miller of Chesapeake; his father, William H. Miller of
Portsmouth; a brother, William Miller Jr. of Surry County; and six grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in First Baptist Church, South
Hill, by the Rev. Mike Toliver. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The remains
will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Tuesday. The family will assemble at 734
Marcus St. at 11 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is in
charge.
