Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, March 3, 1999 
Dorothy Lee ``Sister'' Miller of the 2200 block of Hanson Ave. died March 1,
1999, in her residence.

Born in Norfolk, she was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul C.M.E. Church.

The widow of James H. Miller, she is survived by four daughters, Patricia Davis,
Brenda Johnson, Valerie Thomas, all of Norfolk and Linda Miller of Cleveland; a
son, Larry Miller of Virginia Beach; a sister, Annie Whitehurst of Norfolk; a
brother, James Wilson of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild;
and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Bethany Baptist Church by the
Rev. Dr. Jake Manley. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The remains will be
ready for viewing from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The family will assemble at the
residence at 10:30 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home,
Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
