Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, September 24, 1991 
Alcy ``Buddy'' Mills Jr. of the 5300 block of Halter Lane, a retired postal
carrier, died Sept. 22, 1991.

Mr. Mills was born in Spring Hope, N.C. He had retired from the U.S. Postal
Service after 27 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church Bute Street,
National Association of Letter Carriers and Huntersville Senior Citizens Club.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was the widower of Annie Hughes Mills.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy M. Davis, and a sister, Pearl Hill, both of
Norfolk; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church
Bute Street by the Rev. Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Friends may join the family at 5336 Halter Lane and will assemble at the
residence for the procession. The body will be placed in the church at 11:30
a.m. E.A. Hughes Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
