NORFOLK - Elizabeth Curtis Milner, formerly of 964 Merrimac Ave., died Tuesday. She
was a native of Portsmouth.

Mrs. Milner had retired from teaching in Norfolk public schools after 30 years. She
was a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday
school teacher and a member of the missionary circle.

She was a graduate of Virginia Union University and received her master's degree
from Columbia University. She was a member of the board of directors of the Phyllis
Wheatley YWCA.

Survivors include two daughters, Willa Webb0Smith of Philadelphia and Harriet Oxley
of Columbia, Md., and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church
by the Rev. James C. Griffin. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Riddick Funeral
Service is in charge.

The family will assemble Monday at the church. The body will be place in the church
at 11 a.m. Monday.
