Norfolk - Mrs. Ethelyn R. Minnis, 55, of 1423 West 38th street died recently in 
Norfolk General Hospital after a long illness.  A native of Norfolk she was the 
daughter of Edward and Mrs. Ruth Minnis Dillard.

The services were held in Jones Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Richard A. Councill 
with interment in Calvary Cemetery.  Jones Funeral Home was in charge.

She is survived by one daughter, Miss Daphne Minnis;  three sisters, Mrs. Ruth 
Yancey, Mrs. Audrey Cooper of Norfolk and Mrs. Edith Grier of Portsmouth;  three 
brothers, Henry Minnis Sr., John Dillard and Walter G. Dillard, all of Norfolk.
