Norfolk Journal and Guide, Jul 25,1964

Norfolk - Mrs. Rose Minstre of 2501 Hale street died Tuesday in her home 
after a short illness.

A   native of Gloucester County, she was a daughter of the late William 
Carter and widow of David Minstre Sr.

She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church and Good Samaritan Lodge.

Surviving are a son, David Minstre Jr. of Norfolk;  three daughters, Mrs. 
Virgie Boone of Norfolk, Mrs Carrie White and Mrs. Lottie Holland of New 
York;  a brother, Isaac Gordon of Portsmouth;  three sisters, Mrs. Joanna 
Johnson of York County, Mrs. Louise Horace and Mrs. Daisy Giddens of New 
York.

The body is at Graves Funeral Home with funeral arrangements pending.

Per death certificate, burial took place in Calvary Cemetery.
