The Virginian Pilot Tuesday September 29, 1981
Mrs. Venus Mitchell of 1229 Maltby Ave., the widow of John Mitchell and a 
native of Charleston, S.C., died Friday in a hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary M. Mann of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. 
Sarah Sherman of Bayshore, Long Island, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Wednesday at noon in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop 
C.H. Perry.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  The family will be at her 
home.
