Virginian Pilot July 24, 1908

Mrs. Carrie C. Mitchell, widow of the late A.R. Mitchell, died yesterday 
morning at her home in Bainbridge Street, South Norfolk, after a lingering 
illness.
She was a native of North Carolina, but had been residing here for several 
years and was 64 years old.  She is survived by several sons and daughters 
and a sister, Mrs. Nettie Tage, also of South Norfolk.
The funeral will be conducted from the residence this afternoon.  The hour 
has not been fixed, and will not be until the arrival of a son from 
Washington, N.C.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Carrie C. Mitchell was conducted from the 
family residence in Bainbridge Street, South Norfolk, yesterday afternoon at 
2 o'clock.  Rev. Q.C. Davis, pastor of the South Norfolk Baptist Church, 
officiated and the interment was in Magnolia Cemetery.
