Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, August 6, 1995 
NORFOLK - Monica Greer Mitchell, 36, of the 1300 block of Godfrey Ave., quietly
slipped away to go home to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 2, 1995.

Born in Norfolk, Monica attended Garretts Community Church, Norfolk, from early
childhood through her adult life. Monica was a graduate of Norview Senior High
School and a graduate of Tidewater Maritime Training Institute.

Survivors include three daughters, Monjiri, Monet and Monique Mitchell; her
mother, Earline Mitchell Hatchett; a brother, Clifton Hatchett III; and an
uncle, Milton Mitchell, all of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and
friends. She was predeceased by her father, Maurice Alonzo McInnis.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at Abundant Life Christian Church,
228 W. Berkley Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. Donnie Small. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery . Arrangements by Metropolitan Funeral Service. Family and
friends will assemble at 1325 Godfrey Ave., Norfolk, at 11 a.m. Monday for
funeral processional to the church.
