Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, May 30, 1991
Richard Trent Mitchell, 51, of the 800 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., died
May 29, 1991, in his home.

Mr. Mitchell, a native of Alton, Va., was a member of Bank Street Memorial
Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Norfolk State University and was an Army
veteran.

Survivors include two daughters, Shelia Mitchell-Hunter and Cathy Pittman, both
of Cincinnati; a son, Richard Mitchell of Marietta, Ga.; three sisters, C.
Glenda Mitchell-Freeman of Alexandria, Loretta Mitchell-Powell of Wilmington,
Del., and Merle Mitchell-Bush of Columbia, Md.; and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be at noon Saturday at Riddick Funeral Service. Burial will be
at 10 a.m. Monday in Hampton National Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 6 p.m.
Friday and friends may visit the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral
home. Family and friends will assemble at 11:45 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
