Final rites for Mrs. Elizabeth Mitchell, 1403 Armstrong Street, who died in
Brooklyn, NY, were conducted from Hale’s Chapel Sunday, September 10, with the
Rev. R. J. Alston officiating.  The deceased, a native of Bertie County, NC,
resided here until about two years ago, moving to New York where she died.  Her
husband, Floyd Mitchell, two children, two sisters, and other relatives and
friends survive.
