Mitchell at his residence, No. 49 Arlington Place, at 11:30 o'clock Sunday night was a painful surprise to his many friends in this city. His death was the result of a cold he contracted while on a business trip in North Carolina last week, which developed into pneumonia. The deceased was in the twenty-second year of his age and had been a resident of Norfolk about four years. He is survived by a widow, formerly Miss Cora Lee Griffin, of this city, and one child. The funeral will be announced later. *************** MITCHELL - At his residence, 49 Arlington Place, Sunday, June 11th, 1905, at 11:30 p.m., LEONARD W. MITCHELL, in the 22d year of his age. The funeral will take place from the above residence WEDNESDAY, June 14th, at 5 p.m. Friends and acquaintances respectfully invited to attend. ****************************************************************************** The funeral of the late Leonard W. Mitchell, whose death occurred at his home, 49 Arlington Place, Sunday night, was held from the residence at 5 o'clock p.m. yesterday and was largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. C.L. Bane, pastor of the Cumberland Street Methodist Church. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
