Norfolk Virginian January 3, 1892

On yesterday, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, Mrs. Ella J. Mitchell, of No. 
13 Maltby Avenue, departed this life. Her disease was consumption. She leaves a 
husband and three children, besides two sisters and a brother. Her funeral will 
be preached this evening at 2 o'clock at Queen Street M.E. Church, Rev. J.T. 
Whitley officiating.

The funeral of Mrs. Ella J. Mitchell took place from Queen Street at 1 o'clock 
p.m. Sunday, Rev. J.T. Whitley conducting services. Interment at Elmwood.
