Norfolk - Hattie Mae Mix, 63, of 1116 Holt St., a native of Zebulon, NC, died 
Friday in a hospital.

She was a member of Mount Zion Holiness Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Shirly Holloway and Thomasine Jenning, both 
of Norfolk, and Virginia Downey of Brooklyn, NY; a son, Marvin T. Mix of 
Norfolk; six sisters, Lozzie Lumford and Maddie Morgan, both of Zebulon, 
Virginia Wiggins of New York, Ada King and Josephine Hill, both of Norfolk, and 
Trumellow Taylor of Washington DC; five brothers, Les Mitchell of Zebulon, 
George Mitchell of Rhode Island, Erby Mitchell and Raymond Mitchell of Brooklyn, 
and James Mitchell of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be hold at 11 a.m. Saturday in Twilight Funeral Home, Norfolk 
Chapel, by the Rev. Melvin Odom. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Thursday night in the funeral home. The family will be at 
the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday and will assemble at 10 a.m. at 2702 
Granby St.
